Kisanbhai Patel is a Founder and Partner of Kinihara International LLP and the Kinihara Group. With a career spanning over 55 years, he brings in his vast experience to guide the Group to scale and grow. An engineer by degree, he has a B.E. (Elec) and D.B.M. degrees. He started his career with Mahindra & Mahindra’s jeep division as a shop floor in-charge and later joined the family business of SK Group of Companies (founded in 1951) in the early 1970s.
Kisanbhai Patel joined the SK Group from the ground up from doing hand-cart deliveries to understanding every element of the business to eventually leading the Group from 1999 onwards to new heights. He pioneered many industry-first innovations to scale the Group and make it one of the largest FMCG distribution company in India. Under his leadership, the company won many awards from their esteemed clients such as Britannia, Amul, HLL India, Marico, Tata, Dabur, Garnier, L’Oréal, Hershey’s India, Lakmé, Swastik, etc. SK Group became the No. 1 Distributor for Britannia’s Biscuits Division under his leadership.
The Group clocked the highest sales for most of their MNC clients as their leading Distributor in India expanding to a work force of nearly 400+ employees and multiple office and warehouses in Mumbai along with a large fleet of delivery vehicles. Kisanbhai modernized the business processes and operations of the SK Group by implementing industry-first management systems, deploying computer systems to monitor and manage the business. Kisanbhai designed and developed an in-house software to mirror the invoicing systems of their clients tracking details such as Item-wise, Dealer-wise, Area-wise sales figures to optimize sales and profitability.
Kisanbhai is also credited with leading the development of Britannia’s Good Day Cashew Cookies - a first for a Distributor of a company to be involved in product development, working with their R&D team to formulate and develop the cookies to perfection. Today the Good Day brand is worth over Rs. 2,000+ crores. Britannia has time & again solicited strategic and tactical inputs from Kisanbhai for the quality, development and distribution strategies of their leading products.
